
HONG KONG, May 21, 2025 – Yili Group celebrated the introduction of its Pro-Kido infant formula to the Hong Kong market with a product launch on May 20. Yili is currently the best-selling milk powder brand in China, with Pro-Kido as its leading infant formula. The company’s ongoing global expansion marks a significant step in the international growth of China’s dairy sector.

Yili also announced a strategic alliance with Mannings, the largest health and beauty retailer in Hong Kong. This partnership is intended to improve Yili’s market position and consumer reach in the region.

Breakthroughs in Breast Milk Research
Dr. Ignatius Szeto, Assistant President of Yili Group and Head of Yili Global Maternal and Infant Nutrition Research Center, presented the company’s all-encompassing “Four-in-One” nutrition strategy, as well as the most recent findings from its HMOs+ innovation ecosystem. The business also released a white paper, developed in partnership with academic experts, titled *Key Achievements in Breast Milk Research*. It highlights 13 important discoveries, including the first precise examination of the amino acid composition of Chinese breast milk and the finding of a link between HMOs and the gut microbiota of infants.

Professor Paul Moughan, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry New Zealand, stated that his team has maintained a close working relationship with Yili for the last ten years. The new Pro-Kido product, Aronurish Infant Formula, is produced in Inner Mongolia’s Hohhot, at Yili’s Modern Intelligence Health Valley. According to Yili, this cutting-edge facility uses tools and technology from over ten countries, placing it at the forefront of the sector in terms of scale, innovation, and digital intelligence. Yili has created a global supply network of more than 2,000 partners, establishing new benchmarks for quality standards.
Barry Cole, Global Director of Application Management for Nutritional Formula at GEA Group, stated that the two organizations have collaborated for 25 years to develop factories that serve as industry models, and that their cooperation has consistently prioritized product quality through the highest technological standards.
Wu Zhijun, President of Eurofins Scientific Group (China), stated that Aronurish Infant Formula has undergone more than 300 quality and safety inspections, all of which have met international standards.
Continued Growth into Global Markets
Yili is dedicated to providing customers with healthy products and solutions by utilizing its robust international industrial network. Aronurish Infant Formula from Pro-Kido will be available in Mannings stores across Hong Kong as part of the new agreement. Margaret Lau, Head of Baby Care, Confectionery, and GMS at Mannings HK, emphasized that Pro-Kido is the first infant formula brand produced in China to be sold at Mannings, and she conveyed Mannings’ desire to offer a broader selection of high-quality health options.
Yili, the top dairy brand in Asia, has accelerated its global expansion and business upscaling, transitioning from a follower to a leader in the global market. In FY2024, the company’s total revenue was RMB 115.78 billion. This includes RMB 29.675 billion in revenue from milk powder and related dairy products, representing a 7.53% increase year-on-year. In addition to holding its top spot in domestic milk powder sales, the company recorded a 68% increase in international infant formula sales.
