(SeaPRwire) –   RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, May 25, 2026 — ZOE Energy Storage has formed a joint venture with a local Saudi partner to construct the kingdom’s first world-class battery energy storage system manufacturing facility. The project combines ZOE’s advanced ESS technology with local production capabilities, directly supports Saudi Vision 2030 and reshapes the clean energy landscape across the Middle East and beyond.

The facility will be developed in two phases: Phase I, with 6GWh of annual capacity, is scheduled to start production in Q1 2027. Phase II will scale total capacity up to 18GWh, filling a critical gap in the localization of large-scale energy storage production and ending the Kingdom’s reliance on imported storage products. Once operational, the manufacturing base will help Saudi Arabia hit its targets of 130GW of renewable energy capacity, 48GWh of total storage, and 50% clean power generation, speeding up its transition from a traditional energy giant to a global clean energy equipment hub.

The 150‑acre facility will meet top European manufacturing standards and secure official “Made in Saudi” certification, while fully complying with local grid requirements. It will serve markets across the Gulf region, the wider Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and Africa. A Green Energy Academy will be established on site to train certified local talent, ensuring the deep localization of core industry expertise.

Following ZOE’s existing manufacturing base in Hungary, this project is the company’s second overseas production hub — a core cornerstone of its global strategy that integrates ZOE technology, local manufacturing, and global customer service. Engineered specifically to perform in extreme desert climates, the facility delivers customized storage solutions and sets a new benchmark for similar regions around the world.

Mr. Huang Jun, Chairman of ZOE Energy Group, said: “The Middle East is a key driving engine of global energy transformation. This manufacturing base is a decisive milestone in our global development strategy.” He added that ZOE will continue to provide cutting‑edge technology, uncompromising quality, and full‑chain services for the region’s green transition, working together to co-build a new energy storage ecosystem.

This partnership marks a major milestone for ZOE in advancing the global energy transition – supporting Saudi Arabia’s push for energy storage self‑reliance and adding fresh momentum to regional green growth and the world’s low‑carbon future.
