Zoomlion Leads With Global Social Responsibility, Technological Excellence

Mining 38 Zoomlion: Pioneering Social Responsibility and Technological Innovation on a Global Scale

CHANGSHA, China, June 6, 2024 — Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (“Zoomlion”, 01157.HK), a leading manufacturer of advanced equipment, continually pushes industry boundaries of efficiency and precision through its customized offerings and services. Zoomlion extends its commitment beyond business objectives into the realm of social responsibility, actively contributing to local economic growth and social advancement by leveraging technological innovations.

Zoomlion’s cranes have been central to numerous recent projects, with two notable examples showcasing their remarkable capabilities. A 110-ton Zoomlion crane successfully installed a 33-ton engine unit seating ring at the Batang Toru hydroelectric plant in Sumatra, Indonesia — a crucial stage in the construction of the country’s largest hydropower station with a 510 MW capacity, set to bolster local power supply upon completion.

A 2,000-ton Zoomlion crawler crane ZCC32000 was instrumental in installing the dome of the No.8 unit at Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in Jiangsu, China. The crane executed a 473.03-ton lift to a height of 50.5 meters, marking a critical phase in the installation and commissioning of units No.7 and No.8 with millimeter-level accuracy.

Zoomlion is actively establishing a new overseas business ecosystem based on comprehensive digitalization and localization efforts. The delivery of customized ZT115A mining dump trucks to the DR Congo earlier this year was met with widespread acclaim for their quality and performance. Tailored specifically to international construction needs, the A-series trucks form part of Zoomlion’s expansion strategy for high-quality mining equipment across Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

To support Nigeria’s agricultural sector, Zoomlion is set to introduce 500 custom tractors in the first half of 2024. These tractors will feature advancements in both power and drive systems, designed to enhance operational simplicity and adaptability to the region’s challenging terrain.

Recognizing the importance of knowledge transfer, Zoomlion empowers local farmers with cutting-edge technical training to accelerate Nigeria’s agricultural mechanization. A recent training session in Kaduna State attracted 300 participants, focusing on key aspects of agricultural machinery.

Furthering its commitment to nurturing local talent, Zoomlion’s partnership with Ahmadu Bello University, launched earlier this year, fosters the next generation of agricultural experts through remote courses, scholarships, and specialized lectures.

Zoomlion’s mission extends beyond commercial objectives; the Company actively embraces social responsibilities and contributes to sustainable global development, striving to uplift communities through tangible actions.
