
A disorderly video captures when a midair fight broke out among travelers on a heading to the United Kingdom on Thursday, reportedly compelling the aircraft to change course.
Flight LS896, which was traveling from Antalya, Turkey, to Manchester, England, got rerouted to Belgium after what the airline termed the “appalling behavior” of two “disruptive” travelers on board, according to representatives who spoke with the .
“Both passengers were removed in Brussels, and the flight proceeded to Manchester,” the representatives stated.
Footage making the rounds online seems to depict passengers trading blows in the aisle as scream.
The cause of the fight was not immediately known. However, a witness claimed that a male traveler uttered “racist” comments earlier during the flight, the Sun .
“From the start of the flight, a passenger sitting behind us started making racist remarks, softly enough that other people couldn’t clearly hear, but audible enough for us,” the traveler alleged.
Per the witness, the situation intensified after the man — who was reportedly intoxicated — couldn’t buy cigarettes on the plane and turned hostile.
Cabin to calm the situation, but the argument eventually became violent.
Following the diversion to Brussels, officials took the two passengers off the aircraft. The plane then continued its journey and touched down in Manchester at approximately 10 p.m., the Post reported.

“We can confirm that the two disruptive passengers will receive a lifetime ban from our airline,” Jet2 told the Post. “We will also actively pursue them to recover the expenses we incurred due to this diversion.”
The carrier added, “As a family-friendly airline, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive passenger behavior, and we sincerely apologize that other customers and our crew members on board had to witness this as well.”
Jet2 did not promptly answer Digital’s request for comment.
