Firefighters came to the aid of an Indonesian woman whose nose ring became lodged in her office chair.

ViralPress obtained video showing the woman at work when her nose piercing got stuck in the chair’s mesh backing.

Coworkers tried unsuccessfully to remove the septum ring before calling the fire department.

“This wasn’t the strangest call we’ve ever responded to,” stated firefighter Mochamad Alam Priabadi.

The woman was taken to the fire station, where rescuers had better equipment to help.

Firefighters lightheartedly suggested using a chainsaw or cutting off her nose before using pliers to free her in about five minutes, causing no injuries.

“We’ve dealt with fingers trapped in window latches, rings stuck in sensitive areas, and children with fingers stuck in tables,” Priabadi explained. “It’s all in a day’s work, but this was certainly one of the more memorable incidents.”
