Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on Western nations to act without delay in combating antisemitism and guaranteeing the security of Jewish people globally.
“I insist that Western governments take the necessary steps to oppose antisemitism and ensure the needed safety and protection for Jewish communities across the world,” he stated, per the prime minister’s office, which released an English translation of his comments made in a Hebrew video on Tuesday.
“They would be wise to listen to our warnings. I demand action from them — immediately,”
Netanyahu’s call followed the horrific terror attack that occurred on Sunday in Australia.
That assault was “deliberately targeted at the Jewish community on the first day of Hanukkah,” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
In Tuesday comments at a White House Hanukkah event, President asserted that Congress “is becoming antisemitic.”
“You have AOC plus three. You have those individuals,” he stated, alluding to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and the progressive “Squad.”
“Ilhan Omar: She hates Jewish people,” he continued, referring to the congresswoman from Minnesota.
