A resident from Perth was so irate with aircraft that she registered nearly half of the complaints for the country last year.

The anonymous resident registered 20,716 complaints, according to Airservices Australia, which manages air traffic in Australia.

A second complainant, from near Brisbane, made 4,071 complaints, Business Insider reported.

The complaints were part of a submission to the Australian Senate amid an inquiry into the impact of aircraft noise on cities and regional centers.

Aircraft noise can result in negative health impacts.

A study conducted at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport revealed that excessive noise from aircraft can lead to financial consequences for nearby residents due to lost productivity and the need for medical treatment.

Research suggests that the cost associated with noise pollution for those living near the airport could reach $800 million over 30 years.
