BEIJING, Nov. 23, 2024 — The “Global Gen Z Views on Beijing” initiative, a collaboration between China Daily New Media Center and 21st Century Media and Education, launched on November 22, 2024. This project will highlight Beijing’s cultural heritage, technological progress, and environmental stewardship.
More than 20 international social media influencers will explore Beijing’s history at sites like the Capital Museum and the Zhoukoudian Site Museum. They will also experience the city’s technological advancements by visiting leading tech companies and innovation centers. Furthermore, visits to the Yanqing Ecological Civilization Exhibition and the Beijing Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park will provide insights into Beijing’s approach to sustainable development.
Using engaging storytelling, the event aims to present Beijing’s rich cultural heritage and sustainable development achievements to a global audience. Veronica, an Italian student at Tsinghua University, shared her enthusiasm on the event’s first day, stating, “I’m thrilled to participate. My passion for Chinese culture led me to study here, and this experience has been invaluable.”
This initiative serves as a platform to showcase Beijing’s past and present development to the world. The influencers’ experiences will vividly portray Beijing’s cultural richness and contemporary progress to a global audience. The event provides Beijing with an international stage to highlight its unique qualities, promote cultural exchange, and foster global understanding.
