SACRAMENTO, Calif., Dec. 6, 2024 — The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) is pleased to announce its 2025 Board of Directors, selected today at the association’s annual meeting held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco.
Cormac O’Modhrain, Sunstone Hotel Investors’ Group Vice President of Asset Management, will lead as the 2025 CHLA Board Chair, succeeding Dhruv Patel, Ridgemont Hospitality’s President and COO, who will become Immediate Past Chair. O’Modhrain will be supported by a skilled team of officers:
- Vice Chair: Daniel Kuperschmid, Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Vice President of Global Asset Management
- Secretary-Treasurer: Kristi Allen, Ensemble Investments’ Executive Vice President, Hotels
“These leaders bring exceptional expertise and commitment to CHLA, enabling us to fortify California’s hospitality industry, advocate for our members, and address the challenges of 2025,” stated Lynn S. Mohrfeld, CHLA President & CEO.
“I am honored to lead CHLA in 2025,” said O’Modhrain. “Collaborating with the board, I am dedicated to engaging our members and promoting local advocacy to ensure a prosperous future for our industry.”
Furthermore, the board welcomes three new members, whose insights and experience will strengthen CHLA’s mission:
- Tony Zand, Pacific Hospitality Group’s General Counsel
- Kerry Gaber, Host Hotels & Resorts’ Senior Vice President of Asset Management
- Margie Jones, Ph.D, Dean, Collins College of Hospitality Management, Cal Poly Pomona
The board also reappointed nine members, acknowledging their continued contributions:
