LONGi achieved an ‘A-’ Leadership Level rating for Water Security—the highest among Chinese renewable/PV companies—and a ‘B’ Management Level rating for Climate Change for the second consecutive year.
CDP operates a global, independent environmental disclosure system for businesses, investors, and governments to manage their environmental impact. As the world’s largest environmental action database, CDP empowers decision-making for a sustainable future.
CDP scores companies on climate change, forests, and water security. These scores influence investment and procurement decisions, bolstering ESG performance and reducing financing costs. Over 3,600 Chinese companies reported through CDP in 2024.
A CDP report indicates that six in ten countries face unsustainable water resource usage by 2050. LONGi prioritizes sustainable practices, including water resource management and climate action, and transparently discloses this information to stakeholders. The company’s water resource management policy focuses on environmental compliance, water conservation, efficient discharge, and scientific governance.
In 2023, LONGi implemented 118 water-saving projects, resulting in a 5.5293 million-ton annual water reduction. This represents a 12.75% year-on-year decrease and a 33.52% reduction compared to the base year. These projects involved optimizing processes and exploring alternative water sources.
