BEIJING, Nov. 29, 2024 — This is a report from China SCIO:
The second China International Supply Chain Expo has opened, and Jason explores the advanced manufacturing sector:
Jason discovered the creation of the mascot Linky at the Jingye Group booth, learning about metal 3D printing. This laser-based process melts metal powder to create intricate components, enhancing efficiency and lowering costs.
Jason also examined rare earth steel from Baogang Group and Corning’s fusion-made glass.
These materials represent the initial manufacturing stages. Subsequent component processing involves significant foreign participation.
Sumitomo Electric (Japan) showcases its automotive and submarine cable supply chains. A robotic bartender, utilizing Siemens’ Workflow Canvas, analyzes customer emotions to personalize drink recommendations.
Knorr-Bremse, a German company specializing in braking systems, is also present.
These advanced technologies and components enable sophisticated equipment production, including machinery for national infrastructure projects, such as the Yunhe tunnel boring machine and the automated terminal at Shanghai’s Yangshan Port.
From design and R&D to intelligent manufacturing of crucial national equipment, the advanced manufacturing supply chain integrates upstream, midstream, and downstream companies across borders, shaping the future.
