STOCKHOLM, Nov. 29, 2024Skanska is investing approximately SEK 530 million in the Mandelblomman residential project within Täby Park, near Stockholm. Mandelblomman will comprise 156 apartments, a 75-space garage, and two commercial units. The construction contract, valued at roughly SEK 350 million, will be added to Skanska Sweden’s order bookings in Q4 2024.

This four-to-seven-story residential building will feature 156 apartments ranging from one to five rooms and a kitchen. A rooftop terrace and a landscaped courtyard with a pergola will be included.

Solar panels covering approximately 55 percent of the roof will provide renewable energy. The garage will offer 15 electric vehicle charging spaces, and a car and bicycle pool will be available to the residents. The building utilizes climate-improved concrete, resulting in 15 percent lower energy consumption than BBR (Boverket’s building regulations) mandates. Consistent with all Skanska’s self-developed residential projects in Sweden, it will be certified with the Nordic Ecolabel.

A notable feature is the inclusion of battery storage, providing a supplementary service to Svenska kraftnät and generating income for the residents’ association.

Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2024, with occupancy phased from summer 2026 to April 2027.
