This investment from the tech giant will provide Xfinity and Comcast Business services to the Palm Beach County community.

WESTLAKE, Fla., July 3, 2025 — A powerful, new fiber network is under construction in Westlake. When complete, over 1,200 residences and businesses will have access to dependable, high-speed internet, mobile, streaming, and other services through Xfinity and Comcast Business. The project is being rolled out in stages and is expected to continue through 2026.

Comcast has already made considerable headway on building the network. Construction is complete in The Pines, The Terraces 1 & 2, and Woodlands communities, giving more than 850 homes access to the company’s advanced network. Plans are in place for crews to extend the network to The Hammocks and The Terraces 3 neighborhoods. The aim is to further expand the fiber network as new developments are constructed in the city.

This new, advanced network will provide Westlake with access to faster internet speeds that exceed competitors — up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) for residential customers and as much as 100 Gbps for businesses. Using fiber-to-the-home technology, customers can enjoy symmetrical speeds, meaning uploads are faster than ever before.

Introducing Xfinity for Consumers
Comcast’s residential services are offered under the Xfinity brand, and Westlake consumers will be able to leverage the full suite of Xfinity products, including Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Xumo Stream Box, Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity Voice, and Xfinity Home. With fast internet speeds, powerful WiFi coverage throughout the home, and highly responsive connections with low lag available with its plan, customers can enjoy a seamless experience using their connected devices to stream sports and entertainment, video chat with colleagues and friends, learn remotely, or simply browse the internet.
