BRISBANE, Australia, March 28, 2025 — Cryptsoft has updated its KMIP and PKCS#11 SDKs to include support for interoperable post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms. These PQC-enabled SDKs enhance Cryptsoft’s existing suite and offer verified, interoperable support for NIST’s standardized post-quantum cryptographic algorithms: ML-KEM (FIPS 203), ML-DSA (FIPS 204), and SLH-DSA (FIPS 205).
As progress towards cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQC) accelerates, organizations protecting data through cryptography have been eager to move from PQC planning to testing. However, they’ve faced obstacles due to the limited PQC-readiness of available products and technologies.
The PQC-readiness of security products depended on the definition and publication of standards (NIST, KMIP, PKCS#11, IETF LAMPS) and the availability of PQC-ready versions of cryptographic toolkits like OpenSSL Library and Bouncy Castle. With these requirements now met, PQC-ready products, including Cryptsoft’s key management SDKs, are now being offered.
By licensing and implementing Cryptsoft’s newest SDKs, which support all three NIST PQC algorithms, CISOs and Product Managers gain a clear path to confidently address the challenges posed by cryptographically relevant quantum computers.
“The journey from proposed post-quantum algorithms to deployable implementations has been lengthy. By upgrading our SDKs to KMIP v3.0 and PKCS#11 v3.2, the first PQC-ready versions of these standards, current and future SDK users will have the necessary PQC tools to proactively safeguard their data assets. Our successful completion of a multi-vendor KMIP PQC interoperability test allows Cryptsoft licensees to confidently deploy solutions today that will remain secure in the quantum computing era,” said Tim Hudson, CTO @ Cryptsoft.
