ABERDEEN, Scotland, June 2, 2025 — Swire Energy Services (SES), a global provider of integrated solutions and equipment for the energy sector, has reached an agreement to be acquired by Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP (Davidson Kempner), a global investment management firm. The transaction is pending standard regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. The financial details of the transaction remain confidential.

Established in 1979 and based in Aberdeen, SES is a leading supplier of specialized containers for cargo and related value-added services for the global offshore energy industry. With a fleet of over 51,000 cargo-carrying units, SES is well-positioned to benefit from increased activity in offshore oil and gas (O&G).

SES has a solid foundation and a history of expanding its services within the traditional energy sector, with further growth opportunities in the broader O&G service value chain and related new energy markets. Davidson Kempner’s acquisition will support SES in its continued growth.
