(SeaPRwire) – AULAC, NB, May 29, 2026 – The Beaubassin Research Centre, operated by Ducks Unlimited Canada, is set to lower its carbon footprint following a federal investment exceeding $324,000, provided via the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) program.
The funding will facilitate several enhancements to boost the facility’s energy efficiency, specifically: comprehensive building insulation, the replacement of the existing oil furnace with a heat pump system, the installation of energy-efficient windows, and the addition of a ground-mounted solar power array.
These improvements will reduce the center’s environmental impact while providing a more sustainable and resilient space for the researchers, university partners, and local Indigenous community members who utilize the Beaubassin Research Centre.
