LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2025 — Italian-Chilean singer-songwriter has launched his highly-awaited first album, ‘Historia de Amor,’ on May 16, 2025, a significant moment in his musical career. The release was celebrated the night before with a private screening in Hollywood inspired by the songs, which have been incorporated into a film and a short documentary about his incredible story.
‘Historia de Amor,’ produced by award-winning Rafa Sardina, combines the classic era of Latin romantic music with a contemporary feel. Sardina’s production enhances the project with rich, sweeping arrangements and refined instrumentation by top musicians, including Gabi Martínez, Carmine Rojas (formerly David Bowie’s bassist), Victor Indrizzo (drummer for Alanis Morissette), and Jeff Babko.
At the core is a voice that recalls legends like Sandro and Nino Bravo, delivering timeless passion in a way that resonates with today’s listeners. The album’s initial ten tracks unfold like a romance novel, each song representing a chapter in a grand love narrative. It’s both personal and universal, capturing the emotional peaks and valleys of a relatable love story.
“This is more than just an album,” says Franno. “It’s a personal expression and an intimate exploration of my life. I’m incredibly grateful to my collaborators, who encouraged me to discover this self-expression and helped create something authentic that will connect with those seeking genuine music.”
Historia de Amor: The Movie, directed by award-winning filmmaker Andres Ibañez, is an innovative cinematic experience designed to reflect the emotional journey of Franno’s debut album. Seldom has a project been so effectively adapted into a cohesive visual narrative. Each song becomes a chapter in a sweeping love story, told with poetic imagery, emotional depth, and authenticity. More than a film, it’s a cinematic tribute to music and the timeless art of storytelling. Historia de Amor: The Movie will premiere worldwide on Franno’s May 23, 2025.
In contrast to the film, Historia de Amor: El Documental, directed by Annie Joy Domingo, offers a personal, behind-the-scenes look at Franno’s transformation from physician to rising Latin music star. The documentary is scheduled for release in June 2025, presenting a compelling story of reinvention, purpose, and passion.
‘Historia de Amor’ is currently available on all major digital platforms. Press images and photos from the premiere event can be found .
