QINGDAO, China, May 23, 2025 – Hisense, a global leader in consumer electronics and home appliances, has announced that it will integrate Google’s new Home APIs into its ConnectLife app. This will allow users to incorporate their smart home devices from other brands into the ConnectLife ecosystem by this fall. This update will allow ConnectLife app users to control both Hisense products, such as TVs, refrigerators, and air conditioners, and a wide range of popular smart home devices from other manufacturers, creating a more unified smart home experience.

Coming this fall, the Hisense ConnectLife app will allow users to seamlessly onboard and control third-party smart home products, including those Matter and 'Works with Google Home' certified.

The announcement coincides with Google I/O 2025, where Google made smart home announcements and featured Hisense as a launch partner for its new Home APIs. The integration utilizes Google’s Home APIs to access over 750 million devices, including those that are Matter, “Works with Google Home” certified, and Google Nest devices. The increased connectivity broadens device compatibility and adds advanced automation features, enabling users to manage both Hisense products and third-party devices like smart plugs, lights, doorbells, and curtains from a single app.

ConnectLife users will be able to easily integrate third-party devices to improve their entertainment, pet care, and air quality experiences. One-touch modes and custom automations can combine Hisense products with third-party devices to create smart home responses. For example, air conditioners can automatically adjust based on data from third-party air quality sensors, or smart lights can provide visual alerts when a Hisense refrigerator’s VersaTemp drawer reaches the ideal temperature for cooling beverages.

While visual notifications via smart lights already exist, Hisense’s integration allows users to easily set up these detailed cross-device interactions within the user-friendly ConnectLife app. This simplifies the setup process for benefits such as having third-party smart lights visually alert users who are hard of hearing, who have their hands full, or who prefer to keep their phones silent. This provides a seamless, unified smart home experience without needing to manage multiple third-party apps for configuration.

“At Hisense, we are dedicated to making smart living simple for everyone,” said Miguel Becerra, Director of Smart Home Experiences, Hisense Americas Region. “This integration improves ConnectLife to create smooth experiences that make daily life more convenient and enjoyable for our customers.”

The updated ConnectLife app, featuring Google Home APIs integration, will be available this fall on both Android and iOS.
