(SeaPRwire) – MACAO, May 29, 2026 — As the crypto industry progresses beyond periods of speculative expansion, KuCoin anticipates that the next stage of Web3 competition will be characterized by trust infrastructure, rather than traffic or token incentives.

During a panel discussion titled “The Answer to Web3 Liquidity: Asset Management, CEX, DEX and the Future” at BEYOND Expo 2026 in Macao, KuCoin’s Chief Marketing Officer, Skylar Wu, stated that the industry is undergoing a fundamental shift from an “attention economy” to a “trust economy,” where sustained growth increasingly relies on transparency, regulatory compliance, security, and robust infrastructure.
“The era of growth driven purely by speculative user engagement and short-term rewards is diminishing,” Skylar commented during the panel. “Future platforms will succeed not by drawing the most attention, but by establishing the most reliable infrastructure.”
Skylar contended that the crypto sector is moving into a fresh competitive stage where mere liquidity is no longer sufficient. Instead, both individual users and institutions are placing greater emphasis on dependable execution, openness, clear regulations, and robust security as digital assets become more embedded in conventional financial frameworks. She noted, “Previously, infrastructure was mainly assessed by its speed and liquidity. Now, infrastructure must also be evaluated by its durability, regulatory adherence, transparency, and capacity to function consistently across international markets.”
This shift, Skylar explained, is also redefining the evolution of liquidity. Instead of operating as separate systems, centralized exchanges, decentralized protocols, institutional frameworks, and payment networks are progressively merging into a more integrated “hybrid liquidity” landscape.
She stated, “Users are less concerned with the origin of liquidity and more focused on whether transactions are efficient, secure, and trustworthy. Upcoming platforms will simplify blockchain complexities, offering experiences as user-friendly as standard internet applications.”
Skylar additionally highlighted Bitcoin ETFs, the widespread use of stablecoins, and the growth of global regulatory structures as indicators that digital assets are increasingly shifting from speculative investments to fundamental financial infrastructure. She specifically mentioned that stablecoins are developing into worldwide payment and settlement systems, moving beyond their role as mere trading tools.
In line with KuCoin’s enduring “Trust First” strategy, Skylar emphasized the company’s continuous commitment to Proof of Reserves transparency, enterprise-level infrastructure, robust security measures, and international compliance efforts, including KuCoin’s active $2 billion Trust Project. Skylar concluded, “Web3 is no longer solely about creating trading platforms. The industry is constructing the foundational trust for the upcoming age of digital finance. With global markets growing more interconnected, KuCoin intends to move beyond being just an exchange and contribute to establishing the trust infrastructure that will drive the One Global Financial Market.”
