(SeaPRwire) – CONCORD, N.C., April 11, 2026 — Revology Cars, the premier global manufacturer of re-engineered classic Mustangs, today unveiled its newest vehicle, the 1970 Mustang Boss 302.
Following the launch of the 1969 Boss 429 last fall, the 1970 Boss 302 extends the company’s offerings, honoring a legendary road racing homologation model that has been updated with contemporary engineering, performance, and everyday usability.
The original Boss 302, manufactured solely for the 1969 and 1970 model years, was engineered for Ford’s SCCA Trans-Am racing efforts, boasting a high-revving powerplant, a suspension tuned for competition, and functional aerodynamic and cooling features.
“The Boss 302 was essentially a street-legal race car,” stated Tom Scarpello, founder and CEO of Revology Cars. “Our objective was to maintain that high-revving, track-oriented personality while providing the sophistication, dependability, and practicality of a modern high-performance vehicle.”
The 1970 version gained particular acclaim for its aggressive appearance and iconic “shaker” hood, which featured an air cleaner that shook visibly with engine torque. Revology has accurately reproduced this characteristic even with the modern engine’s distinct intake configuration.
The Revology Boss 302 is equipped with a 5.0L Ford ‘Coyote’ V8 that generates 460 horsepower. This high-revving, naturally aspirated V8 mirrors the original’s spirit but incorporates modern advancements such as an aluminum block and heads, four camshafts, 32 valves, and sophisticated fuel injection and engine management systems. This combination delivers a genuine V8 exhaust note alongside substantially enhanced performance, driveability, reliability, and fuel efficiency.
In contrast to the original Boss 302, which came only with a four-speed manual transmission and few comforts, the Revology edition provides a selection between a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. Features like air conditioning, hydraulic power rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes are all included as standard equipment.
Consistent with all Revology cars, the Boss 302 is constructed on a brand-new steel body designed for greater structural rigidity and refinement. Its chassis incorporates a double-wishbone front suspension and a three-link rear suspension with a torque arm and Panhard rod.
The company has carefully reproduced the Boss 302’s most recognizable design details, such as its distinctive paint scheme, rear decklid spoiler, and louvered rear window glass, maintaining the original’s iconic appearance.
The interior combines classic Mustang styling with modern ergonomics, high-quality materials, and expert craftsmanship, resulting in a cabin that is suitable for enthusiastic driving as well as daily commuting.
The debut of the Boss 302 further solidifies Revology’s status as the top provider of re-engineered classic Mustangs, now presenting a wider selection of historically important models upgraded with modern technology.
