SHANGHAI, Jan. 22, 2025 — Smartee Denti-Technology’s new 100,000 sqm clear aligner factory showcases a commitment to sustainable manufacturing. The facility features advanced emissions controls, solar power, and water recycling systems, demonstrating industry leadership in eco-conscious production.
Environmentally Friendly Emissions Control
Smartee utilizes advanced exhaust treatment to minimize emissions from 3D printing, film pressing, and laser cutting, ensuring compliance with stringent environmental regulations. Wastewater from 3D printing undergoes a pre-treatment process before being treated in a central system and safely discharged.
On-site Solar Power Generation
A 20,000 sqm rooftop photovoltaic system generates an estimated 2.1 million kWh annually, significantly reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and promoting sustainable energy practices.
Efficient Water Recycling
Smartee employs a comprehensive water reuse strategy, incorporating rainwater harvesting and advanced treatment. Treated water is used for non-potable purposes such as toilet flushing, irrigation, and cleaning, optimizing water resource utilization.
“Sustainability is key to the future of clear aligner manufacturing,” stated Mr. Junfeng Yao, Smartee Founder. “Our commitment to environmentally responsible operations ensures both production excellence and environmental stewardship. This factory represents a significant step towards a greener future for the industry.”
Smartee, headquartered in Shanghai, operates four R&D centers and four manufacturing facilities across China and Spain. Serving over 83,000 dental professionals in 47 countries, Smartee offers more than 10 aligner products for various orthodontic needs.
