ATHENS, Greece, Dec. 17, 2024 — Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, announces a strategic partnership with KTISTOR Energy to deploy its innovative PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Greece. KTISTOR Energy is a prominent construction company actively involved in Renewable Energy Source projects as an EPC, developing and integrating its own projects across wind, solar, BESS, and ancillary services. This collaboration marks the PowerTitan 2.0’s debut in the Greek market, significantly improving grid stability and advancing the nation’s renewable energy transition.

This agreement encompasses four ESS facilities in Northern and Central Greece; two are licensed and will operate under the Greek ESS Tender scheme, while the other two will participate in the free market. Specifically:

  • Project Dokos in Rodopi, licensed for 8.875 MW for 2 hours, with an initial installed usable capacity of 25.065 MWh.
  • Project Petra in Kozani, licensed for 7.8 MW for 2 hours, providing 20.055 MWh.
  • Agia Anna, in Viotia, licensed for 7.8 MW for 3 hours, with an initial installed usable capacity of 30.09 MWh.
  • Agia Anna II in Viotia, licensed for 7.8 MW for 3 hours, with an initial installed usable capacity of 30.09 MWh.

These projects total 105 MWh, all using Sungrow’s PowerTitan 2.0 system. System deliveries are scheduled for summer 2025, showcasing Sungrow’s production capabilities, advanced logistics, and swift response to client needs for tailored solutions.
