BEIJING, Dec. 17, 2024 — In 2024, numerous Chinese automakers launched intelligent New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) incorporating Huawei’s advanced automotive technologies. Dongfeng’s Voyah brand debuted the Dream MPV, featuring Huawei’s ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system. Chang’an Auto integrated Huawei’s core intelligent driving solutions into its Deepal L07. Furthermore, Chang’an Auto’s AVATR brand unveiled the AVATR 12, also powered by Huawei’s comprehensive technological suite.
July 2024 marked a significant milestone: NEV sales in China surpassed those of gasoline-powered vehicles for the first time, reflecting growing consumer preference for electric and smart cars. Huawei’s robust technological expertise has garnered considerable attention within the automotive industry.
Huawei’s Advanced Driving System (ADS) has reached version 3.0, integrating lidar, camera, and millimeter-wave radar sensors. This advanced system, coupled with sophisticated end-to-end intelligent driving algorithms, enhances safety during manual driving, improves the comfort of autonomous driving, and simplifies parking.
The HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit allows voice control of navigation, windows, seats, and other in-cabin features. HUAWEI SOUND provides an enhanced audio experience with “smart acoustics, smart sound fields, and smart ambiance.”
Huawei’s intelligent automotive optics solution integrates core optical technologies with automotive applications, boosting intelligence and connectivity. Current applications include intelligent heads-up displays, intelligent headlight modules, and in-car virtual image displays, with future potential in optical communication.
Huawei’s Intelligent Digital Vehicle Platform (IDVP), based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), features a centralized hardware architecture and a decoupled, layered software architecture. This enables the creation of true Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), offering personalized and continuously updated user experiences. HUAWEI XMOTION, built on the IDVP, provides native cross-domain collaboration, allowing for six-degrees-of-freedom vehicle body control for enhanced safety, comfort, and driving performance. The HUAWEI TMS utilizes an integrated heat pump system with a proprietary nine-way valve, supporting 18 operating modes.
Huawei’s intelligent vehicle cloud delivers a superior user experience with comprehensive lifecycle services, encompassing interaction, care, and security. This includes smart interactions via digital keys, remote control, driving records, Yunkan, and Yunxi, along with proactive care and security features such as OTA upgrades, component maintenance, and remote diagnostics.
Huawei remains dedicated to a customer-centric approach, focusing on intelligent vehicle components to enhance vehicle intelligence. With Huawei’s continued investment and innovation, more automotive companies are expected to join its ecosystem, collaboratively building a better future.
