
MONTREAL, May 13, 2025 – Tourisme Montréal is commencing its summer 2025 season, emphasizing stability, diverse markets, and a rich array of tourism offerings. In a constantly changing global environment, maintaining performance at last year’s levels reflects both the city’s resilience and its enduring appeal.

An Increasingly Connected Destination
Montréal now offers direct access to 156 destinations across nearly 50 countries, with new routes to Naples, Valencia, Edinburgh, Cincinnati, and Bermuda. The French market remains strong, with air seat capacity increasing by 23% for Nantes and 3% for Bordeaux.
A Vibrant Event Lineup
Montréal’s summer will be animated by major festivals and conventions, boosting tourism and city life. Hotel occupancy between June 1 and September 30 is projected at 80%, peaking at 85% during key events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Not-to-Miss Highlights
This summer, Montréal is also introducing innovative activities and entertainment:
- The arrival of the Michelin Guide recognizes Montréal’s culinary excellence.
- Bungee Montréal, the highest bungee jump in Canada, is located at the Quai des Convoyeurs.
- Cirque du Soleil will perform LUZIA at the Old Port.
- The Grand Prix will feature F1 Academy, an all-female motorsport competition.
- Major shows at the Bell Centre include Shakira, Katy Perry, and Linkin Park, among others.
An Invitation to Unleash Your Inner Fun
Tourisme Montréal’s summer promotional campaign encourages visitors and locals to “unleash their inner fun.” Montréal offers a spontaneous connection to joy and a zest for life through music, flavors, discoveries, and emotions.
The organization has also launched a campaign in the northeastern United States, highlighting the advantageous value of the U.S. dollar in Montréal. “Stretch your dollar further in Montréal” conveys the idea of amplified value with playful visuals, such as oversized bagels or ice cream cones.
