LONDON, Dec. 16, 2024 — TMX Trayport, a TMX Group subsidiary, and Argus, a leading energy and commodity market intelligence provider, announced a partnership to offer Argus’ Guarantee of Origin (GO) benchmark prices via TMX Trayport’s Joule platform.
Joule, a leading global electronic trading platform for European energy and environmental markets, will integrate Argus’ End of Day (EoD) Guarantee of Origin prices, providing transparency to Energy Attribute Certificate markets. Historical data and visualization tools will accompany the prices.
GOs verify electricity’s source. Argus’ independent GO price assessments reflect confirmed transactions and bids/offers from various market sources. Argus publishes GO prices for wind, solar, hydro, and other renewable certificates, supporting the voluntary renewables market by providing fair value for GO products.
