Netanyahu to Have Prostate Surgery Following UTI Diagnosis

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will undergo a prostatectomy on Sunday following a urinary tract infection diagnosis last week. The surgery, announced Saturday, addresses a benign prostatic hyperplasia causing the infection.

This procedure occurs as the 75-year-old Netanyahu navigates multiple Middle Eastern conflicts involving Israel, Iran, and Iranian-backed terrorist groups.

This week alone, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes targeting Sana’a International Airport and other locations.

The IDF stated Thursday that these strikes were in response to repeated attacks on Israel and its citizens by the Houthi terrorist regime using UAVs and surface-to-surface missiles.

“The targets struck included military infrastructure used by the Houthi terrorist regime for its military activities at Sana’a International Airport, and the Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib power stations. Additionally, the IDF targeted military infrastructure in the Al-Hudaydah, Salif, and Ras Kanatib ports on the western coast,” the statement detailed.

For over a year, Houthi rebels, controlling much of northern Yemen, have supported Hamas attacks on Israel, attempting to enforce an embargo by targeting cargo vessels in the Red Sea.

Simultaneously, Netanyahu faces a corruption trial within Israel. Testimony began in December and is expected to continue for several weeks.

This trial, initiated in 2020, centers on allegations of exchanging regulatory favors for favorable media coverage through dealings with media moguls.

Approximately 140 witnesses, including former prime ministers, security chiefs, and media personalities (short of the initially anticipated 300), have testified.
