(SeaPRwire) – A seasoned CRO with three previous appointments and a leader in go-to-market strategies joins Kai as businesses transition from fragmented systems and human-dependent processes to autonomous defense.
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 2, 2026 — Kai, the company behind the pioneering agentic AI cybersecurity platform designed for end-to-end security operations at machine speed with human-level accuracy, today announced the appointment of Nick Degnan as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Degnan joins Kai at a pivotal moment when enterprise demand for agentic AI is surging, necessitating a new security paradigm that moves beyond fragmented tools and human-constrained workflows to autonomous, machine-speed execution.

Degnan brings over two decades of experience in establishing and expanding high-growth revenue organizations within the cybersecurity and enterprise technology sectors. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Revenue Officer at AppOmni, where he oversaw all customer-facing teams, including pre-sales and post-sales functions. Prior to that, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Axonius, leading pre- and post-sales efforts during a period of significant growth, and previously held the role of Vice President of Global Corporate Sales at Tanium.
“Security teams are overwhelmed with tools yet still struggling to keep up,” stated Degnan. “What attracted me to Kai is the team’s rapid progress in translating their vision into tangible customer success. Enterprises require autonomous defense capabilities that operate across various use cases at machine speed to counter AI-powered threats, and Kai’s platform is perfectly positioned to address this need. I’ve never seen a company tackle such an ambitious goal and achieve this level of execution so early on. The demand is already evident, and I am eager to contribute to scaling the go-to-market engine to meet it.”
In his new capacity, Degnan will be responsible for leading Kai’s global go-to-market expansion, encompassing sales, partnerships, and customer success. His focus will be on scaling revenue operations, strengthening customer relationships, and broadening Kai’s international presence within enterprise markets.
“The cybersecurity landscape is undergoing a fundamental transformation, shifting from human-speed to machine-speed operations,” commented Galina Antova, co-founder and CEO of Kai. “Nick possesses a deep understanding of how to build and lead organizations during periods of such profound change. His leadership will be instrumental in driving the wider global adoption of Kai’s technological advancements.”
Degnan joins Kai as the company builds on its $125 million emergence from stealth, following the recent appointment of CISO Alfredo Hickman and increasing interest from Fortune 500 organizations. With a foundation built on advanced AI research and led by individuals with a track record of creating category-defining companies like Claroty and SecurityMatters, Kai is entering a new phase of growth. Degnan’s leadership will be crucial in scaling its go-to-market strategy and expanding its reach.
