LONDON, March 3, 2025 — A recent study reveals that 87% of British adults are captivated by the idea of experiencing a luxurious, millionaire-style holiday at sea on a high-end cruise ship.

AllClear Travel Insurance surveyed 2,000 adults to identify the most appealing luxury aspects of a cruise holiday. The top desires for an exceptionally indulgent vacation included access to a private island retreat (33%), Michelin-star dining experiences (32%), in-suite spa treatments (28%), and an unlimited supply of champagne and fine wines (23%). Helicopter transfers were also favored by 15% of respondents.

Preferences for luxury extras varied across the UK. Residents in the South East showed a stronger inclination towards a private butler service, while those in the North East were more interested in having a butler to care for their pets. Helicopter transfers were particularly appealing to Welsh participants, and Londoners expressed a greater interest in a ‘pillow menu’ and a daily supply of healing crystals in their cabins.
