PETERBOROUGH, England, November 21, 2024 — Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland and Lady Isabella will host a concert by the Singers of Note choral group at Milton Hall near Peterborough on Saturday, November 30th. This event will benefit Helping Our Ukrainian Friends.
Helping Our Ukrainian Friends is a collaborative effort across England, Poland, and Ukraine, providing aid to Ukraine following the Russian invasion. Since March 2022, the group has raised over £250,000 and delivered more than 50 tons of aid, including 37 generators, thousands of lights and batteries, camping stoves, tourniquets, and over 2,000 Christmas and Easter gift boxes for Ukrainian children.
The group also supports summer camps in Poland, offering respite and counseling to Ukrainian widows and their children.
Singers of Note is a renowned four-part harmony group performing a diverse repertoire, encompassing show tunes and classical pieces. The Milton Hall concert will feature a varied program of theatrical music and well-known classical selections, conducted by Margaret Blenkin.
“With the war in Ukraine escalating, Helping Our Ukrainian Friends’ work is more vital than ever, especially as Christmas approaches. The concert will be an enjoyable musical experience while raising crucial funds for the group at this critical time,” stated Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland.
The concert will be held in the Long Gallery at Milton Hall, the Naylor-Leyland family home since 1502.
The concert begins at 7 pm on Saturday, November 30th.
